Request an Appointment

After receiving a request we will make contact within 2 business days to determine how we can best assist.

How can we help you?

Are you worried about ...

Family issues: Separation, care of children, child support

Safety: Someone controlling, hurting or threatening you or your family

Money: Debts, bills of fines, Centrelink issues

Housing: Repairs, ending your lease, insurance claims, disaster-related issues

Work: Problems with your pay, being treated unfairly

Documents: Birth certificates or identification documents

Are you eligible for Maternal Child Health Services?

Do you also live within the Ballarat, Moorabool, Hepburn, Pyrenees, Ararat, Northern Grampians or Horsham council areas?

If so, Allied Justice may be able to provide FREE legal services and/or referrals to other support services.

Even if you’re not sure whether you have a legal problem, it can be a good idea to talk with us to see what can be done.

How it works:

  1. Talk to your MCH nurse about them doing a referral.
  2. Once Allied Justice receives the referral, our Engagement & Referral Practitioner will call you to chat about what’s going on. We call this a “legal health check”.
  3. If our legal team can help, the Engagement & Referral Practitioner will arrange an appointment for you with a lawyer. This can be either in person or over the phone. The Practitioner will also attend your appointment (unless you’d prefer them not to).
  4. We may also offer other supports and/or referrals to other services if you need them.

OR

  1. Drop in to one of the clinics listed below.
  2. Have a chat with our Engagement & Referral Practitioner or Lawyer about what’s going on (we call this a “legal health check”).
  3. They may be able to provide you with legal assistance, other supports, and/or referrals on the spot, or they may need to book you a further appointment.

If we are unable to help you with your problem, we will provide you with referrals to other legal and/or non-legal services that can help.
